Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is an EU regulation designed to reduce packaging waste and increase reuse and recyclability. It applies to all packaging, including transport packaging such as pallets, boxes, and crates.

It introduces binding reuse targets for transport packaging: By 2030, at least 40% of transport packaging must be reusable, and by 2040 this increases to 70%. These targets apply across supply chains, placing responsibility on businesses to choose packaging models that enable reuse at scale.
IPP’s closed pooling model already meets the principles of PPWR
Every pallet, box, or other load carrier in our system is reused, repaired, and redeployed – cutting waste, CO₂ emissions, and administrative complexity.
• Comply effortlessly: Our circular system aligns with EU reuse and recycling goals.
• Cut costs and waste: You only pay for what you use, with no asset ownership or disposal costs.
• Reduce emissions: By reusing carriers and optimizing transport routes, we lower CO₂ across every trip.
• Simplify reporting: Our digital tools give you transparency for audits and sustainability reports.
The European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)
At its core, the EUDR aims to ensure that products placed on the market are not linked to deforestation. For businesses, that means being able to trace materials all the way back to where they were produced and demonstrate compliance through detailed due diligence records. At Faber, our focus is on the timber element of the Regulation, given how central this material is to our operations.

What this means for IPP customers• All timber used in our pallets is certified and responsibly sourced (FSC® / PEFC™). • Faber Group is implementing Osapiens, a digital compliance tool, to manage traceability and due diligence. • Suppliers are being onboarded to ensure complete chain-of-custody visibility. |
Aligned by design
Choosing pooling means your transport packaging is already aligned with European goals on reuse rather than disposal, lower CO₂ emissions, responsible and certified sourcing, as well as credible, audit-ready reporting. In other words: you stay compliant, without changing how you operate. IPP will remain EUDR-compliant, and by utilising our services, users of our products will not bear the compliance burden themselves.

“The EUDR brings its share of technical challenges, but for a company like ours, where sustainable sourcing has been standard practice for years, it’s really about formalising what we already do well. We prioritised sustainable sourcing long before the regulation existed. EUDR compliance isn’t a change of direction – it’s a continuation of what we’ve always believed in.” - Erin Quinn, Public & Political Affairs Coordination |
