How can pallet pooling become more sustainable on the road?  At IPP, we believe the answer lies in Intelligent Transport – combining data, collaboration, and cleaner fuels to move goods efficiently while reducing emissions across Europe.

Every kilometre matters. That’s why IPP’s approach to sustainable transport focuses on three pillars:

1. Data-driven route optimisation

Using digital tools and network analytics, we plan shorter, smarter routes and reduce empty kilometres across our European operations. These insights also help customers cut their own footprint.

2. Collaboration with transport partners

We work closely with hauliers and logistics providers to integrate renewable fuels, improve truck utilisation, and test innovative solutions such as HVO100 biofuel, capable of reducing emissions by up to 80%.

“Sustainable transport is a shared effort,” explains Angeliki Karydi, IPP Sustainability Manager. “Every partner we involve helps us get closer to our 2030 target of 30% CO₂ reduction per trip.”

3. Continuous improvement through local action

From France’s FRET21 programme to route-planning pilots in Benelux and Germany, local initiatives are scaling into European best practice – making measurable progress across IPP’s network.

Together, these actions are part of the Faber Group Peak Programme, driving smarter logistics and contributing to our net-zero 2045 goal.

Sustainability in transport isn’t a single route – it’s an ongoing journey of collaboration and innovation.

Let’s explore how we can make your supply chain more sustainable, together.
