At IPP, emissions reduction is a top priority. We are working to cut our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2024 as our baseline. These emissions come from things like our buildings and company vehicles. To tackle them, we have started shifting to electric and hybrid vehicles across our fleet.

A big part of our impact comes from transport and the materials we use. That is why we are focused on reducing Scope 3 emissions across our value chain. Our goal is to lower emissions per trip by 30% by 2030, compared to 2021. By focusing on emissions intensity, we make sure that we grow efficiently and responsibly.

Tracking emissions per trip and load

As our network grows, so do our trips, loads and kilometers. Simply tracking total emissions doesn’t tell the full story. That’s why we also measure emissions intensity: the emissions produced per unit of activity.

We need to understand how we perform with each trip, each load, each kilometer. Measuring emissions per unit of activity helps us spot opportunities to do better, stay accountable and keep improving as we scale.

A clear path to net zero

This work is part of a longer journey. We are committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2045, aligned with the 1.5°C climate target. It is an ambitious goal, but one that reflects the responsibility we carry as a logistics provider working across Europe.

Our emissions targets are part of a wider ambition to make supply chains more sustainable. By bringing together carbon tracking, circular pooling and practical innovation, we are working towards logistics solutions that are efficient, low impact and built to support long-term progress across the value chain.
