In today’s fast-moving world, businesses need logistics that keep up. At IPP, we believe supply chains should run smoothly, sustainably, and with zero unnecessary steps. That’s why we’ve partnered with three of Spain’s top retailers to make pallet flows faster, smarter, and more efficient.

Together, these retailers represent 42% of the Spanish retail market. By sorting returnable pallets directly at their distribution centers, instead of sending them back to our depots, we’ve created a quicker and more streamlined loop. Pallets that meet our quality standards are made immediately available for customer delivery or pickup. Damaged pallets are separated and returned to IPP for repair and reuse, keeping every asset in motion.

What does this mean for our customers?

For our customers, this means real improvements where it counts: better pallet availability, fewer delays, and faster turnaround times. It also means less transport, fewer empty trips, and a reduced environmental footprint. In fact, the project is expected to avoid nearly 100,000 kilometers of transport per year.

Retailers carry out the sorting on-site, using their own forklifts and conveyors to keep things efficient. Daily stock updates are shared with IPP to maintain visibility and ensure quick response times. The setup required no additional investment from the partners, proving how collaboration and smart resource use can unlock powerful results.

This project is a clear example of how pallet pooling systems can evolve to meet today’s supply chain demands. It combines operational simplicity with long-term sustainability, all while putting the customer’s needs at the center.

Building a better future

By working hand in hand with our partners, we’re building a future where load carrier pooling drives both performance and circular progress. Fewer delays, more control, and stronger partnerships. This is how we help your supply chain simply flow.
