Inter Europol is a family-owned company with Polish capital. Operating in the industry since 1989, it has established itself as a leader in the Polish market and built a strong reputation across Europe and beyond. Every day, its facilities produce bread, rolls, baguettes, breadsticks and biscuits, which are subsequently delivered to retail chains, retailers, hotels and other foodservice businesses.
Inter Europol stands out for the high quality of its fresh and frozen bakery products, prepared according to traditional recipes and in line with the principles of traditional baking craftsmanship. These traditions are combined with modern technologies that enable the company to meet stringent legal, quality and environmental safety requirements. To meet the highest standards, Inter Europol has also expanded its own fleet for transporting fresh bakery products and works with a number of external partners to deliver frozen products. Every company involved in the supply chain must meet the same standards, which is why its suppliers hold IFS certification.
When it comes to pallet management, there is no room for compromise either. By partnering with IPP and leveraging the benefits of pallet pooling, Inter Europol has achieved greater flexibility in planning and executing deliveries, as well as greater security in load management. Pallet pooling enables high-quality pallets to be shared and reused within a circular economy model.
The pallet pooling project was launched at the bakery in 2018, as part of a collaboration with one of its key customers. It quickly became clear that this was a highly beneficial solution.
“The decision to switch to pallet pooling was primarily driven by the opportunity to free up significant human and financial resources previously dedicated to pallet management and claims handling. It also offered a range of additional benefits, including flexible and lean pallet management, environmental protection and sustainable development, and, above all, improved customer relationships.” Krzysztof Deja, Logistic Manager at Inter Europol
In manufacturing companies, pallet management should support the business rather than become a core activity in itself, tying up unnecessary capital in the purchase of owned pallets, requiring additional storage space and creating an administrative burden across the entire process. Thanks to IPP pallets, Inter Europol’s bakery can fully focus on achieving its core strategic and growth objectives. Working with IPP enables more efficient delivery planning, frees up capital previously tied up in pallet purchases and optimises pallet management in day-to-day operations.
Maintaining the highest safety standards is essential to ensuring the quality of the bakery products that Inter Europol delivers to numerous customers both domestically and internationally every day. Its partnership with IPP, based on a transparent agreement and straightforward processes, has helped optimise food logistics and transport operations across both domestic and international markets. The availability of pallets and fast order fulfilment are further key advantages.
IPP pallets, rented within a closed-loop pooling system, stand out for their durability and high quality, making them suitable for storing goods in automated High Bay warehouses. Modern pallet pooling therefore ensures that the highest standards are maintained at every stage of the production, storage and transport of food products.
By switching to pallet pooling, we are able to focus more on growing our business together with our customers and fulfilling our company’s goals and mission. A strong awareness of and commitment to environmental responsibility have been integral to all our processes for many years. Our investments and modernisation initiatives are designed to minimise the environmental impact of our operations. We are therefore currently making technological preparations to further increase the share of rented pallets in our operations. Krzysztof Deja, Logistic Manager Inter Europol
