#12 - Responsible Consumption and production
We ensure responsible consumption and production by sustainably sourcing the raw materials for our load carriers. We help our customers and partners make the most of our circular load carriers, extending their lifespan over time and ensuring high-value processing at the end of their lifecycle.
#13 - Climate Action
We take action on climate by reducing carbon emissions for our customers and partners through the use of our circular load carriers. At the same time, we minimize CO₂ emissions from our own logistic operations and depots. Our goal is to cut our scope 3 footprint per trip by 30% by 2030.
#17 - Partnerships for the goals
As part of global supply chains, we achieve our goals by collaborating closely with our customers, retailers, and business partners, including load carrier manufacturers, logistics service providers, and depots. Strong partnerships help us drive sustainable solutions and maximize the impact of our circular business model.
Faber Group Sustainability Report
Sustainability is embedded in the core of our circular load carrier pooling business and in our hearts! With the Faber Group Sustainability Report, we now make our efforts and ambitions tangible and visible. The report outlines our Faber Group sustainability strategy and Faber Development Goals. It also includes the result of a baseline measurement of our footprint as Faber Group as a whole, per division and per type of activity. We used this to set tangible KPIs to eventually become a ‘net-zero’ company by 2045.
IPP's Sustainable Solutions
As part of the Faber Group, IPP offers a sustainable approach to meeting your pallet and box needs. Our pallet pooling system focuses on a pay-per-use model rather than ownership. This ensures our pallets and boxes are utilised optimally throughout their lifespan without requiring any capital investment from our customers, making it an ideal solution within the circular economy.

Lean & Green
IPP – first company with two-star rating in the European Lean & Green programme
Lean & Green is Europe’s leading programme for sustainable logistics. It encourages organisations to reduce their environmental footprint by optimising logistics processes, while simultaneously driving cost savings and improving efficiency.
At IPP, reducing kilometres and increasing load size are core principles of our business model – it’s part of our DNA. By participating in Lean & Green, we can now measure our current performance more accurately and identify opportunities for improvement. For example, we have analysed inefficient relocations and loading patterns and now focus on optimising our collections. This means balancing the impact of lost pallets with the environmental impact of transport, to make every journey as sustainable as possible.
Receiving the two-star European Lean & Green recognition is a significant motivator for IPP to continue advancing our sustainable logistics strategy. Our next steps include exploring the viability of alternative fuels in both practical operations and financially sustainable ways.
Through Lean & Green, IPP strengthens its commitment to sustainable logistics, circular supply chains, and reduced CO₂ emissions. This programme allows us to continuously improve operations, maximise efficiency, and demonstrate measurable progress in environmental responsibility – reinforcing our position as a leader in sustainable pooling and logistics solutions across Europe.
Pallet circularity is the way to go
Our wooden pallets are made from solid timber from (almost only) sustainable wood sources (FSC® C104886, PEFC/30-32-331 certified). We maintain our pallets to the highest specifications throughout their extended lifespan, ensuring they remain reliable and efficient. Once they have reached the end of their useful life, our pallets are repurposed as biomass, returning to nature and closing the circular loop. This process not only extends the utility of our pallets but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability by reducing waste and promoting a more environmentally-friendly cycle of use and reuse.
Landlife Partnership Programme
In addition to our sustainable pallet lifecycle management, we actively engage in partnerships to further mitigate our environmental impact. One such collaboration is with Landlife Company, where we participate in tree planting programmes designed to offset the remaining portions of our carbon footprint. These initiatives not only help absorb CO2 emissions but also contribute to reforestation efforts, enhancing biodiversity, and fostering healthier ecosystems. Through these proactive measures, we are dedicated to making a tangible, positive impact on the environment and driving forward our commitment to sustainability.
Ecovadis Platinum
Together with our parent company, Faber Group, we participate in the Ecovadis sustainability assessment in which we currently have platinum status, and we are fully committed to the principles of the UN Global Compact.
Peak & Plateau
Our sustainability approach covers the full scope of care for people, planet and society – which has been recognized with a Platinum Ecovadis rating three years in a row. This we consider the basis (Plateau) of our sustainability ambitions.
However, we want to do more where we can have most impact (Peak). We have assessed the footprint of our business and found that approximately 85% origins from our (purchased) load carriers and transportation.
We're creating a better world through our circular business model, facilitated by continously improving our sustainable value chain. The 7 impact areas visually summarizes this.
